Our Communities
Southern Labrador has nineteen small fishing communities, with a population ranging from 8 to 600 people in each town. Our communities are distributed along the coast, with goods and services available in neighbouring clusters of communities.
Our communities are traditional fishing settlements with all the advantages of modern conveniences. We also have a busy tourism industry that offers high quality services available to visitors and residents alike.
Some towns are incorporated municipalities and others are small, local service districts with no town council. If you select a town from the list at the right, you will see a listing of all the services available in that community.
Population data for our communities is based on the 2006 census.
